Guild events programme 2009 – sneak preview…
e thought you would like to see a sneak preview of what’s coming up in 2009. Hopefully there is something for everyone again but there is still room for you to nominate your chosen topic or speaker; as you can see, we still have one month free in November 2009 and this is where we would like to throw it open to all members to suggest what they would most like to do in this month. We have been a bit under-budget in the last 2 years for events so is there someone you would love to come visit us but lives too far away for us to usually afford it? Or is there a topic we haven’t covered in recent years you think we should address? Maybe you’d just like to kick back and have a relaxed day with no speaker or workshop planned at all? So November is “Members Favourite” day – you vote for it and I’ll (try to) arrange it. Email suggestions please to: Caroline Walker, Programme Secretary.

Having said all that, please remember that this is Caroline's second and last year as Programme Secretary. The Guild needs new inspiration to keep us interesting for everyone and so we need a new Programme Secretary to take over organising the events for 2010. She is happy to do a handover and will supply all the information and guidance you need so please don’t feel daunted by the role! And remember, if you are organising it, you can choose what we do! If you are at all interested and want to discuss it, please speak to Caroline at a Guild meeting or contact her by email or phone. If there is no Programme Secretary, we can continue to meet but there will be no speakers or workshops in 2010.
